A. Choosing Keywords
To get best results, it is important to choose keywords carefully. Here are some tips:

	Try the obvious first.
	Example: If you are looking for information on knitwear, enter 'knitwear' instead of ‘garment’.
	Use keywords as specific as possible.
	Example: “Battery operated toys” gets more specific results than “toys”
	Avoid using words with more than one meaning.

B. Confine Your Search
You can enter a set of keywords and combine the keywords with logical operators to confine your search to more specific results.

		Operators			Examples			Results
		AND			toys AND fair			Documents that contain both “toys” and “fair”.
		OR			toys OR fair			Documents that contain both “toys” or “fair”.
		“ ”(Double quotes)			“toys fair”			Documents that contain the exact phrase “toys fair”.
		* (single asterisk)			key*			Documents that contain “key” and other words begin with the same letters, such as “keying”, “keyhole”, “keyboard”, and so on.

C. Word Variations
Thesaurus Search
When appropriate, the search engine will not only search for the input keywords, but also for the synonym of the keywords. For example, if the user searches for "optical", the search engine will also search for "eyewear", "glasses", etc.

Stemming
When appropriate, the search engine will not only search for the input keywords, but also for the stemming of the keywords. For example, if the user searches for "toy", the search engine will also search for "toys".

D. English/ Chinese Keyword Search
You can enter English, traditional Chinese or simplified Chinese to conduct your search.
